Match 2! Monodramon vs DemiDevimon!

monodramon tried to run away, but the braces caught him fire. he fell on his face and couldn't get up. "Dammit! get them off!" he yelled as he pulled at them as hard as he could. The restraints seemed too strong for him. he keep trying and trying and stressed himself. As he reached his limit a shadowy aura surrounded him. His body soon turned black and grew in size. It's form shifted and the area around him became cold. the blackness and the aura soon went away and left a Devidramon standing where monodramon was ones at.

Devidramon roared out. He then looked around the area and soon found Dion. His wings flapped and he flue right at the bat Digimon at full speed. It seemed that Devidramon was not use to this evil inside of him and couldn't yet control it. He opened his mouth and got ready to take a chunk out of him, if not just eat him whole like a true monster he had become.

"Digimodify! Digivolution activate!" Hugh roared. || Thankfully Dion changed form quick enough to be able to counter with a Death Hand, blasting unholy energies at Devidramon. "Looks like this digimon isn't able to control their own powers yet." Devimon said concernedly.

(Hey, make sure you're mentioning if or if not attacks are connecting, I notice a slight lack of attack connection here and there)

The Death Hand hit Devidramon right in the mouth and knocked him backwards. As he started to fall though, his tail reached out at Dion. the tail tip opened up like a claw to try and drag Dion down to the ground with him.

Wow! This is getting amazing! Look's like DemiDevimon's tamer should really learn to strategize more before he uses those modify cards, cause now he's got a rogue Devidramon on his hands to deal with!

Dion did feel its leg be yanked down, and the rest of him go with it. It barely managed to land on its feet, then took aim at Devidramon's back with a few attempted hits.

Devidramon pushed himself back up after the fall, but only to be hit in the back a few times by Dion. A growl came from his mouth. His hands started to glow with power and he turned around and swung his hands at Dion as hard as he could with his Crimson Nail attack. He didn't call out his attack though, he just kind of yelled at Dion.

Dion had to react fast unless it was going to be cut into slices. It did a quick charge of its death hand attack and managed to match power after the first claw struck. Though the first blow was quite effective. Yet Dion managed to use its unholy energies to knock Devidramon back before it got too far into its attack."If this isn't an all time backfire" Dion griped.

Devidramon was pushed back by the last attack, but he didn't stay back. As soon as the recoil ended from that hit he charged forward at Dion again and tried grabbing at him with his huge claws.

"Digimodify! Demon wings activate!!.... Fire Augmentation Activate!!" Hugh shouted as he swiped each card into the card reader system. Both cards had reloaded so Hugh pulled them out for this one to try to keep Dion from becoming grappled. || First it was the wings, becoming demonic and leathery. Next was the flames like those from Saberdramon, though more prominent on the wings thanks to its visual attributes.
With its whole body ablaze with the flames and the wings, it was able to move a bit quicker and became.... too hot to touch.

It took a few flaming swings at Devidramon to further keep from being grappled.

The fire and the swipes were too much, and Devidramon backed off from Dion. He backed up away a good distance, before he ran to a tree and used his Crimson Claw on it to cut it down. before the tree fell Devidramon grabbed it and swung it at Dion. the top of the tree was on fire because of Dion setting the woods on fire.

Dion did try to block the tree by using the flames to cut through the tree, but the backburn from the flames actually stung. Not to mention some spots it took longer for the tree to burn so there were some 'hit and burn' moments. "Dang..... when is this thing going to dedigivolve!" Dion griped as it unleashed another death hand, though this time it was more a burning death hand towards devidramon. The attack spent the flames and the wings though, so it was back to its default champion appearance.

Devidramon was sent flying back by the attack. he panted a bit and almost fell over, but he caught himself in time. he roared one last time for one last attack. He seemed that he was about to dedigivolve at any second. He got as close as he could to Dion, and swung his claw at him. However, only a split second before it hit, Devidramon dedigivolved into monodramon. Monodramon fell on his face right in front of Dion. "Ow...what just happened?"

Dion sighed with relief as monodramon was back. It dedigivolved to rookie again. "Dark Digivolution aparently." It said quickly. As soon as monodramon showed signs of readying to fight again, he got in with two claw strikes with his demidevimon claws. || Hugh made sure to note that the dark restrictors weren't the best for digimon with dark digivolutions, and would have to do some research on digimon with dark digivolutions when he got a chance.

Well, pretty glad that the dark digivolution was over with! I thought we were all gonna have to take cover for a minute there. Here is some stats update!

Monodramon saw the incoming attacked and rolled out of the way before getting up. He moaned and rubbed his chest. Just then he coughed. he looked up and couldn't see the tree tops anymore. Smoke filled the air and the fire was very hot up there. most of the trees were on fire now, but near the bottom of the woods it still didn't reach. A smile came to Monodramon's face and he looked over at Dion. "I think this might have back fired on you. I don't think you can fly very high up without getting burnt or choked by the heavy smoke now Dion." he told him and got ready to fight again.

"What made you think I would stick to high altitudes?" Dion asked with a laugh. "In case you haven't noticed, I've been more a wart on a toad rather than avoidance like a plague dude. I don't go high up, I keep towards the ground." It pointed out, then flew back and let off a Demi Dart.

Nope, after a discussion with the other spectators it does not count since it was a "forced" evolution.

Did dust mention that he wasn't going to be posting for some time? I've been waiting on dust's post and it's been a while]

Monodramon rolled out of the way of the demidart, but he was slower now and got up slower. The battle was wearing on him more and more and the smoke wasn't helping. "Got to get out of here." he said to himself and made a dash towards the water.

(Sorry for the long wait. i was waiting on an admin to answer your question)

Dion seen that the monodramon was trying to get out and decided to follow. First chance it got, it launched two clawed strikes against monodramon. Dion wasn't kidding about staying close and attacking whenever possible.

Monodramon was hit while trying to run away, and fell down. he rolled on his back as soon as he could and throw himself up, and lunged right at Demidevimon as fast as he could with his Cracking Bite attack.


("Cracking Bite (Crack Bite): Bites the opponent, fragmenting their data and collapsing them into malfunction based on where they were bitten." I am not sure what the rest of that would do to Dion. Any idea?)

The bite actually made contact. In the pain that he was in, he managed to fire off a demi dart at near point blank range at Monodramon. Though the chomp was a bit excruciating.

the dart was thrown right into Monodramon's chest. the pain was allot, but it caused Monodramon to bight down harder because of it. He wined and tears rolled down his face from the long needle in him. His eyes were shut tight from the pain.

It took alot for Dion to even continue to fight. The pain was excruciating. He used his other claw to slash a few times at Monodramon's face. Eventually the pain was enough to where he shouted out in pain.
